Creating the Brand...it all started when my oldest son went to college. Being a single mom with a child leaving home was difficult to grasp at first but as parents we must trust God and believe we did our best to set a foundation of morals and beliefs in place for them to be successful. My faith and trust allowed me to engage more on my creative side and that’s where it all began. I started with learning how to sew during the Pandemic. I wanted my family to be protected and was not 100% vested in disposable masks. The proceeds also allowed me to provide financial support for my oldest in college. Before I knew it the orders were coming in and materials were running out. I had to get creative with finding fabric as it seems I was not the only one with the same idea. Then I thought how do I stand out? Let’s create custom masks for people so they can express their thoughts and beliefs. So teams, themes and colors were incorporated and I was able to give my customers custom masks. As time went on masks orders declined. I could not imagine being in a world where I could not be creative so then came the world of tumblers. I started off simple and watched a ton of videos and made even more mistakes. So many of them just didn’t make the cut! But with practice we all know we gain experience and learn how to hone our craft. Sublimation, Epoxy and Rhinestone Tumblers became my favorite. Now here we are, H&K Creations, almost 2 years later we have other business, organizations and regular customers placing orders for all types of occasions. To God Be the Glory for allowing me the courage and confidence to pursue my journey and trust that I am good enough to achieve anything I put my mind to. My kids now assist with ideas and themes. We go out in the community and hold events to display the merchandise while building valuable relationships. This has truly been a journey and we continue to grow experience as we constantly seek to improve our product line.
